Group Programs

What women have said about the program

We run regular group programs that give women a safe space to talk, share and learn together. In these groups we discuss things like:

  • What family violence is
  • The cycle of abuse
  • How violence affects women and children
  • Your rights
  • Finding hope and strength

The Shark Cage Program

The Shark Cage Program is an eight week group for women who have experienced family violence. It is about learning, healing and building confidence.

In this program women can:

  • Learn the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships
  • Build skills to set boundaries and speak up
  • Understand the impacts of abuse
  • Practice self-care and kindness
  • Reconnect with feelings, body, and sense of worth
  • Recognise the warning signs of abusive people
  • Reduce feelings of shame or self-blame

The group is supportive, respectful and focused on helping women feel stronger and more in control of their lives.
